LUNA VANESSA

Hola! My name is Luna Vanessa Brambila Meraz, I am an aspiring interior designer who also loves to make art.
A dream destination for me will always be Mexico, as I hold it very dearly in my heart and because I have Mexican blood running through my veins. Since I was a baby, I've been visiting the state of Durango, Mexico every year because it is where my family roots are from. My father, siblings, grandparents etc. reside in Mexico, therefore it is my dream destination always to go. However, my dream is to visit ALL of Mexico's beautiful states! Not just Durango, I want to see the Aztec and Mayan pyramids, I want to see the breath-taking beaches of Mazatlan, Cancun and Tulum. I want to go to Jalisco and see how tequila is made from agave and to see the ruins of Mitla and taste the tamales of Oaxaca. Although Mexico is one big country, every single state is unique and will take you to another world packed with its own culture, traditions, food, historic background and different Spanish accents.

The oldest thing in my home that I/my mother own is a Virgin Mary statue that is 2 feet tall and came from Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico! How ironic? My dream destination. My mother was 19 and went to Mexico to my great grandma's funeral. When she was on her way back to the U.S., she had a layover in Guadalajara and had a taxi drive her to an "Artesenia", a city full of handicraft authentic, handmade Mexican items/decor. She found this mini statue of the Virgin Mary and only payed 3 American dollars for it.

The Italian Rennaissance speaks to my soul, I think this era is so ethereal and heavenly. When I first saw Rennaissance Art it sparked something in me. I cannot wait to learn about the artist of this time in life.
